Report by Croatian Women Network

The Croatian Women Network reported on April 17 that the Bureau of Associations
(established by the Government to pursue professional and other
activities related to creation of conditions for partner relations and
inter-sectoral cooperation with the NGO sector) contradicts, with its
actions, the goals and aims for which it was set up, as pursuant to the
Directive on Associations. They say at the Croatian Women Network that “...the Bureau, through the lack of transparency of operations, its public appearances and the activities it considers priority, demonstrates the deficient understanding of the civil society and the processes that provide sustainability for the civil society.” The CWN coordinator says that they still wait for a reply to their information submitted to the Government and the Bureau.
