10.5.1: Most NGO's keep such distance from the world of corporations that the possibility of contact won't even enter their mind. Yet many aims of NGO's are only feasible when companies cooperate. A worldwide movement of NGO's pressurizes companies to act responsible towards workers and the environment. The Canadian journalist Naomi Klein (No Logo, Westwood Creative Artists Ltd, 2000) is the best known spokesperson of this movement.

Just like the contacts between NGO's and governmental agencies a NGO does not sell its soul to the other party when cooperating. The contact should be limited to the subject at stake enabling both parties to repair to a critical attitude if they think this appropriate.
