4.7.2.1. Founders or leaders of organisations often were ahead of their time when the goals of the organisation were formulated. Often they had to resist society and to fight for their ideas. Such leaders tend to identify themselves with the goals sometimes to the extend of believing that the goals are more or less eternal. They may loose receptivity for developments in society and their consequences. An open discussion about the actuality of the goals may then be experienced as an attack on the leaders themselves. If they impose the rigidity of their thinking upon the organisation as a whole the organisation will grow old and die with them.
