The Croatian Women Network will award, for the fourth time, the “Maja Miles” award to journalists for contribution to the field of gender equality and elimination of prejudice an stereotypes that prevent women to realize their rights and take full participation in social, economic and political affairs and processes in Croatia.

The award, given on the occasion of the March 8, the International Women Day, carries the name of the excellent Croatian journalist Maja Miles was established to keep the memory of one of the best women journalists in the history of Croatian journalism.

Last year, the Award went to Marija Molnar and Natasa Petrinjak; in 2003, the winner was Petra Neuner – Croatian Radio and Television, Branka Zuzic – Radio Pula, and the editorial office of “Zarez”; in 2002 the award was won by Tanja Simic and Kresimir Volarevic from HRT, and to Snijezana Materjcic from “Glas Istre” weekly.
